Adult Forum, April 19 – Public Transportation
Zach Dinh, Urban Mobility Strategist for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority (SFMTA), will lead a general discussion on how public transportation links to sustainability and then talk about some more innovative things his team is doing in regards to Transportation Demand Management (TDM). If you don’t know what that is, that’s great because ever more reason to come to this Adult Forum!
Next Sunday, 4/26/15: Lutheran Theology of Healing
St. Mark's member Dr. Kyle Schiefelbein is an adjunct professor at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. In this adult forum, he will discuss a Lutheran theology of healing in which Christ is both doctor and remedy, one of the topics covered in his recent dissertation. This will be placed alongside the church's current ritual practices of healing.
It’s time for a Spring Train Ride for St. Mark’s and Martin Luther Tower Seniors!
Wednesday, April 29, in the beautiful rolling hills near Suisun City populated with spring flowers we will board the “Scenic Limited” train for an 11 mile ride.
Celebrate spring with a vintage train ride at the Western Railway Museum at Suisun City with your friends. We will picnic after the train ride – please bring your own bag lunch. Drinks will be provided.
Your train ticket also includes entrance into the Rail Car Display House and the Train Museum – vintage trains on display.

Martin Luther Tower Board installed today
We give thanks for the Board of Martin Luther Tower and their hard work and dedication providing governance and oversight of the Martin Luther Tower (MLT) senior affordable community. MLT was built in the 1960's and has continued to be a strong and vital ministry of our congregation. Each board member is a member of St. Mark's and contributes time and expertise to the ministry of MLT. Donate Flowers in 2015
The 2015 Flower donation chart is posted in the hallway across from the church kitchen. St. Mark's members and friends can sign up to donate flowers for the chancel on a Sunday by placing your name on the chart for the Sunday you wish. Your donation can be in memory of a loved one or in honor of a particular occasion. The donation is $50 and can be paid via check in the offering plate. Please note "Flowers" in the memo of the check.
Interfaith Food Pantry
Each year, St. Mark's — along with several other churches — rotates on a weekly basis to distribute food to the needy at Old First Presbyterian Church (1751 Sacramento Street near Van Ness Avenue.) We are looking for at least 12 volunteers for each session to help. The dates for 2015 are Saturdays May 9, June 27, Aug. 8, Sept. 26 and Nov. 7. The time commitment is from 7:30am-10:30am.
