Wednesday Nights

Wednesday Evenings
at St. Mark's

6:00 p.m. Midweek Supper
All are welcome to join for a community dinner prepared by church members in Heritage Hall prior to worship.
6:45 p.m. Midweek Worship
You are invited to give yourself a gift in the middle of your week.  This worship service will refresh you and leave you with a sense of calm and security.  You will be fed through singing, and quiet contemplation of scripture.  In our peaceful Sanctuary lit with candles, you will feel God's presence and trust more deeply that you are God's beloved child.  Come and be fed.

ADULT FORUM

Adult Forum Members and friends of St. Mark’s meet Sunday mornings at 10:00 in the Fireside Room of the Urban Life Center. We welcome all to join in learning and exploring together.

SMART - St. Mark's Adults 'Round Town

SMART (St. Mark's Adults Round Town) events are open to all: congregational members, visitors, friends, partners and spouses! While most of our active members are young adults, spirited adults of all ages are encouraged and welcome to join us! The SMART group is celebrating four years of events and fellowship. Some of our events, including large group dinners at local hotspots such as Suppenkuche, Rasselas, Q, Powell’s Soul Food, Chow, and Foreign Cinema have satisfied our appetites. Other events, such as biking in the Bay area, participating in the AIDS walk, volleyball in Marina Green, concerts at Stern Grove, cheering at Giants games and Christmas caroling on trolleys have been filled with fun & recreation! SMART always welcomes spouses, partners and friends. We're looking forward to you joining us! Please drop us an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to add your name to the SMART mailing list to receive announcements on upcoming events.

"SMOP" (St-Marks-Our-Planet)

Our Hiking and Environmental Service Group

"SMOP" is our joyous St. Mark's hiking (adults, children, singles and families) group that takes to the hills, marshes and waterfronts of the Bay Area about every two months. For our environmental service activities, we designate every third event to do something to care for the critical natural environment of the Bay Area, such as native plant restoration, trail maintenance or beach clean-up. Under the fearless and knowledgeable (he knows everything!) leadership of Steven Krefting, we have trekked over the Marin Headlands, around Mt. Diablo, through South Bay Marshes and many other spectacular Bay Area locations. SMOP Hikes and service events are usually on Sunday afternoons after church (1:00 p.m.) and occasionally on Saturdays for an all-day event. Everyone with sturdy shoes, a snack lunch and a desire to share fellowship in God's beautiful creation is invited to join us. Events are announced during Sunday services and in the bulletin. If you'd like to be on the e-mail list for advanced notification of hikes or service events, contact Tom Benson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
