The Senior Center is an organization which operates out of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and Martin Luther Tower. It is an active ministry managed by the church. All seniors of the St. Mark's, Martin Luther Tower, and surrounding communities are welcome to participate in the center's various
Martin Luther Tower
Martin Luther Tower (MLT) is a 121 unit, 13 story apartment building, located at 1001 Franklin Street that provides affordable, independent living for seniors.
MLT was built in the 1960’s as a response to the challenge of urban redevelopment and as a ministry to senior citizens in the Cathedral
Senior Trips
Senior Trips depart from the Brockie Lounge at Martin Luther Tower. All trips are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of participants varies depending on drivers' availability. The trips generally take place on a Friday, and the usual departure time is 10 am unless indicated otherwise. Typical cost: $3 (transportation fee). Senior Luncheons
Senior Center Luncheons take place in Heritage Hall every third Thursday of the month from 12 noon to approximately 1:00 pm. Cost: $4. To RSVP for lunches please call the MLT Office at 415.885.1084.
